WHO WE ARE
Arts and Culture Alpine County is a local agency formed in 2023. Our board of directors includes local artists, musicians, and business people living and working in Alpine County.
OUR MISSION
Providing leadership to support, promote, and connect arts and culture in Alpine County.
WHAT WE DO
Arts and Culture Alpine County connects with local area artists to provide community events that showcase their talents. We also coordinate with local schools to enhance arts for students by sponsoring activities, workshops and youth performances.
We partner with other local organizations to offer family-oriented events that showcase the natural beauty of Alpine County. Planned collaborations include hikes to historical and anthropological sites and environmental film festivals. ACAC is committed to bringing art shows, musical performances, craft fairs, theatricals, poetry readings, and art tours to Alpine County.
Funding comes from a combination of grants, donations and government agencies. We have non-profit (501c3) status. Arts and Culture El Dorado is mentoring us in our first few years with their grant from California Arts Council.
